Zero Liquid Discharge Plants (ZLD)

Industrial Zero Liquid Discharge plant

ZLD is the most advanced and environmentally sustainable wastewater management strategy. In a ZLD plant, the goal is to eliminate all liquid waste discharge. The process involves treating wastewater through high-recovery RO systems, followed by thermal evaporation and crystallization. The result is two-fold: high-purity distilled water that is recycled back into the industrial process and solid waste (salts) that can be safely landfilled or repurposed. ZLD plants are essential for industries in water-scarce regions or those facing stringent "zero discharge" mandates.
